What Is BookDrive

BookDrive is a mobile pop-up bookstore based in Columbia, Missouri, focused on bringing curated, affordable books into community spaces. We set up at local events, campuses, and neighborhood gatherings, creating simple opportunities for people to browse, discover, and connect through books.

BookDrive started with a simple idea. Books should meet people where they are. Instead of waiting for readers to walk into a bookstore, we bring the bookstore to the community through a mobile pop up model.

Founded in Columbia Missouri, BookDrive curates a mix of new and used books chosen to be affordable, approachable, and enjoyable for readers of all ages. The custom BookCart, a hand built mobile book stand designed to travel and pop up anywhere in the community, allows us to set up quickly and turn everyday places into small moments of discovery. Every title is chosen with intention, and every interaction is meant to feel personal, warm, and human.

Who I Am

My name is Nick, and I started BookDrive because books have always been the anchor in my life. I have wanted to start a business my whole life, but only if it was something I am passionate about. Books have shaped my life, opened my mind, and given me direction when nothing else did. I wanted to take that love of reading and turn it into something real and visible in my community. BookDrive is the result of that idea.

I started BookDrive to bring books into the community in a simple and accessible way. It is my way of sharing what has always mattered to me and creating something useful for readers.

Where We Are Heading

BookDrive is just getting started. The BookCart is in development, inventory is growing, and pop ups will begin across Columbia soon. More events, collaborations, and ways to discover books will follow.
