BookDrive is a mobile pop up bookstore based in Columbia Missouri. Instead of waiting for people to come to a bookstore, we bring books directly into the community through pop ups, campus appearances, and local events. Our focus is on making books accessible, approachable, and part of everyday life.

The BookCart is BookDrive’s custom mobile bookstand. It allows us to set up quickly in public spaces and bring a curated selection of books directly to where people already are ‘ sidewalks, campuses, and community spaces. The cart features a tri fold design that opens like a book, with a main shelf and two side wings that each function as their own bookshelf. Multiple chalkboard surfaces allow us to write messages, quotes, or information that change with each pop up.

Instead of asking people to seek out a bookstore, we place books directly into everyday spaces where browsing happens naturally. The BookCart invites interaction, conversation, and discovery without pressure or overwhelm. No algorithms, no barriers ‘ just books, out in the open, waiting to be picked up.
